A Central Texas doctor befriends an orphaned boy. Together, the duo revels in all things ranching including bull riding and crafting custom-made saddles. Years later, a horrific accident has the boy, now grown, recalculating his future. The two embark on a cross-country journey to Barringer, NC that invokes some self-discovery for the newly retired doctor. Disturbing family secrets are revealed, and old relationships resurface changing lives forever.
